Software Disclaimer

Mimic is clipboard management software. By its nature, it captures and stores content that you copy to your system clipboard. Use at your own risk. The developers are not responsible for:

• Loss of any clipboard data or history
• Accidental exposure of sensitive clipboard content
• Corruption of the local database due to system crashes or power failures
• Issues arising from third-party cloud sync services
• Unauthorized access to shared clipboard data over LAN
• Any system instability caused by the Software

Sensitive Data Warning

Important: If you regularly copy sensitive information (passwords, credit card numbers, API keys, PII), be aware that Mimic stores this information in plaintext in its local database. While the database is protected by your system's file permissions, it is not encrypted at rest by default. Exercise caution when using clipboard managers with sensitive data.

Cloud Sync Disclaimer

When cloud sync is enabled, clipboard data is stored in a JSON file within your chosen cloud folder. Data security in transit and at rest within the cloud is governed by your cloud provider's policies. Mimic itself does not encrypt the sync snapshot.
